Veron­ica Alzalde Wells is the Infor­ma­tion Ser­vices Coordinator/Music Librar­ian at the Uni­ver­sity of the Pacific.  Veron­ica coor­di­nates the Uni­ver­sity Library’s ref­er­ence and instruc­tion pro­grams. As the Music Librar­ian, she pro­vides research con­sul­ta­tions and library ses­sions, man­ages the music col­lec­tion, and mon­i­tors the pro­cess­ing and cat­a­loging of music mate­ri­als. She also serves as the liai­son to the The­atre Arts department.

Veron­ica com­pleted her grad­u­ate work at the Uni­ver­sity of Wisconsin-Madison in 2010 where she earned two Mas­ter of Arts degrees in Library & Infor­ma­tion Stud­ies and Musi­col­ogy.  At UW-Madison, Veron­ica cofounded the Music Library Stu­dent Group—an inter­na­tional orga­ni­za­tion for prospec­tive music librarians.

Veron­ica is involved in the Music Library Asso­ci­a­tion (MLA) and the Asso­ci­a­tion of Col­lege and Research Libraries (ACRL). She is cur­rently serv­ing as Chair of the Cal­i­for­nia Chap­ter of the Music Library Asso­ci­a­tion (MLACC).
