Veron­i­ca Alzalde Wells is the Infor­ma­tion Ser­vices Coordinator/Music Librar­i­an at the Uni­ver­si­ty of the Pacif­ic.  Veron­i­ca coor­di­nates the Uni­ver­si­ty Library’s ref­er­ence and instruc­tion pro­grams. As the Music Librar­i­an, she pro­vides research con­sul­ta­tions and library ses­sions, man­ages the music col­lec­tion, and mon­i­tors the pro­cess­ing and cat­a­loging of music mate­ri­als. She also serves as the liai­son to the The­atre Arts depart­ment.

Veron­i­ca com­plet­ed her grad­u­ate work at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Wis­con­sin-Madi­son in 2010 where she earned two Mas­ter of Arts degrees in Library & Infor­ma­tion Stud­ies and Musi­col­o­gy.  At UW-Madi­son, Veron­i­ca cofound­ed the Music Library Stu­dent Group—an inter­na­tion­al orga­ni­za­tion for prospec­tive music librar­i­ans.

Veron­i­ca is involved in the Music Library Asso­ci­a­tion (MLA) and the Asso­ci­a­tion of Col­lege and Research Libraries (ACRL). She is cur­rent­ly serv­ing as Chair of the Cal­i­for­nia Chap­ter of the Music Library Asso­ci­a­tion (MLACC).
