Veronica Alzalde Wells (she/her) is the Outreach and Public Services Lecturer Librarian in the Special Collections Research Center at Appalachian State University. She was previously the Assistant Dean for User Services & Programs at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California.
Veronica served on the board of the Music Library Association as the Recording Secretary from 2022–2024 and is currently the chair of the Public Services Committee. Her research interests include information literacy, music librarianship, and critical librarianship. In 2018 she co-authored the book, The Historical Dictionary of the American Music Industry with Keith Hatschek. She earned an MLIS and MA in Music from the University of Wisconsin — Madison and a BA in Music from Luther College. Veronica also teaches yoga and meditation.
