Veron­i­ca Alzalde Wells (she/her) is the Out­reach and Pub­lic Ser­vices Lec­tur­er Librar­i­an in the Spe­cial Col­lec­tions Research Cen­ter at Appalachi­an State Uni­ver­si­ty. She was pre­vi­ous­ly the Assis­tant Dean for User Ser­vices & Pro­grams at the Uni­ver­si­ty of the Pacif­ic in Stock­ton, California. 

Veron­i­ca served on the board of the Music Library Asso­ci­a­tion as the Record­ing Sec­re­tary from 2022–2024 and is cur­rent­ly the chair of the Pub­lic Ser­vices Com­mit­tee. Her research inter­ests include infor­ma­tion lit­er­a­cy, music librar­i­an­ship, and crit­i­cal librar­i­an­ship. In 2018 she co-authored the book, The His­tor­i­cal Dic­tio­nary of the Amer­i­can Music Indus­try with Kei­th Hatschek. She earned an MLIS and MA in Music from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Wis­con­sin — Madi­son and a BA in Music from Luther Col­lege. Veron­i­ca also teach­es yoga and meditation.
